I'm still friends with them in a way. I guess we still talk to each other when we bump into one another, but they're not going to be in my wedding party or anything like that.

Sad really. I think most people just grow apart.

NO not really. I still keep in contact with some but we arent close. I think my longest lasting friendship has been one that was made in middle school. We don't talk as much as I'd like (She moved away for college) but whenever she comes down it's like those months away never happened. We can tell each other anything without judging and we can do all sorts of silly things without feeling stupid. lol

I have one friend from second grade that I still talk to and another that is a facebook friend that I comment on occasionally.  The majority of my friends are people I met around the age of 12-13.  Most of the rest are college people.  I met my best friend when I was 12 and we were instant friends.  We've been close ever since.

I guess i lost all of them..We never contacted each other..Even we went into the same college,,we never bother to call each other out....

I'm still young (20) but I still hangout with friends from elementary school that were still my friends in high school! I think we're falling apart though.

I hope my future children find good friends no matter how long they've known them. Sometimes the older friends aren't the best friends.

    No

Two of the three bridesmaids I had in my wedding party have been friends since we were very young.  One of them since I was 5 (she was 6) and the other since we were 7.  Both are still good friends today.  It's hard to keep up sometimes because we are all in different states (Oregon, Alaska and Michigan) but the internet makes keeping up so much easier.

I've also re-connected with other elementary classmates and have stayed connected with people from church who I grew up with.

Those life-long friends are true gems.  :)  Makes me think of the little song... "Make new friends but keep the old; one is silver and the other gold..."

I still have friends that i send christmas cards to from childhood but that is the extent of it....we have moved too many times for my kids to have lifelong friends:(   But i know my 2 oldest daughters still keep in touch with people from some of the old places we lived....

I've known my husband since I was 9.  So, yeah.

yes, but some closer than others.

Frenchie's been my best friend since we were 11.

We can still finish each other's sentences.

Now we're 26, going on 5, she has four kids, I have zero... But we're still best friends.

I am still good friends with a few people from middle school.  Others we still talk every once in a while.  My oldest son has a friend he has had since he was 5.  They like to do everything together and always call eachother.  It's funny because my closest childhood friend has 6 kids that age around the same as mine.  They all get along great and it would be cool if they stayed friends in the future.

  • Shell_ayy@xanga

    I met my 2 closes friends in pre-school at age (4-5!) =]

  • Bitswt02@xanga

i think i made the most long-lasting/impactful friendships in high school and college...i will never forget those people even though many of them i know i won't keep in touch with.  I changed so much since my grade school years that I doubt I would have kept in touch with any of my classmates then even if I could.  Moving to a different country after 5th grade from Hong Kong to the States didn't help either.

  • HeidiPerez@xanga

We actually just bought a house next to my best friend that I have been friends with since 2nd grade :)

  • snowvampire@xanga

No. I never had friends growing up and don't have friends now.  My husband has friends from college back home that he still talks to.
