I don't know what that word means and I'm only the baby sitter for now.

Nah, Megan slept through the night at a week old and on the rare night that she wakes up now, all she wants is to eat. I pick her up, latch her on and lay back down. Sometimes I drift off before she's done, but usually I carry her back to her crib a little while later because I do sleep better when she's not in the bed. (I still sort of worry about her being rolled over on or getting her face caught in a pillow or her rolling off the bed or...etc..)

Sleeping in, on the other hand, has become a thing of the past as the older boys have moved in. It is not a rare occurance for them to be up and running wild before 8am! It doesn't matter how late you let them stay up the night before (or how late they keep each other up giggling and playing around ), M is ALWAYS up early and if C wakes up before him and doesn't wake him up?  Woo doggie! He was one angry little man! He is just THAT afraid out of missing out on something...?!

I'm not a mom, yet, and this is the main thing I'm scared of.  Getting fat, labor, crying, pooping, screaming... I think I can handle that.  The lack of sleeping, I might just fall apart completely!  Thank goodness daddy is a morning person.

We co-sleep. Andrew goes to bed before we do but when he wakes up, I nurse him, change his diaper and then put him in bed with us. He sleeps so much better. In his crib he only sleeps 1.5-2 hour before he wakes up but in bed with us, he sleeps 3-4 hours. And I can nurse him while I'm laying down so, that helps a lot too!

seems like it sometimes but I think we/I do ok. I figure we'll work it out at the right time somehow. I'm going from 1 boy to 2 so my worry is how my first will adjust when we try and help his little bro transition to sleeping through the night, and if they'll have to move into the same room, eventually.

But really there was one night when if it wasn't the one it was the other and I was going from bedroom to bedroom trying to get someone to sleep. I was up 2hrs from 12:30 or so to after 2. It was a freak thing but I felt like the picture you posted.
