My older two were completely off bottles before 12 months. My youngest is breastfed.
My daughter only had a bottle of breastmilk when I was at work and she stopped taking it when she was about 4 months old. She's 25 months now and still breastfeeding twice a day.
My son only used a bottle when I was working from 8 weeks to about 5 months. After that I stoped working and he stopped needing bottles (breastmilk). And when he no longer used a bottle he no longer wanted a pacifier either.
my son is 15 months old and still has a bottle twice a day :/
he hates sippy cups!
All 3 of mine were breastfed, and didn't like bottles. My older 2 were done with the breast by 11 months, and my youngest was done by 12 months.
15min.
My oldest took a bottle until she was 12 months. My youngest was breastfed until 13 months. Neither of them seemed to mind the switch to "real" food!
I'm hoping not to ever use a bottle with my son.
My brother and I wouldn't take a bottle. I breastfed till 15 months and my brother till 18 months.
both of mine were 12 months.
I breastfed my oldest and she got one bottle of breastmilk a day, but she did not like that at all. It wasn't longer than a year. We're going without bottles for the second one.
i started giving my son a sippy around 6 months and by 8 months he refused to touch a bottle.
Around 11 months for my daughter.
My son took the bottle until he was 2. He didn't like sippy cups at all and my parents indulged him.
my son broke himself at the age of 14 months, but my daughter still isn't willing to give it up that easily she's still on one and she's almost 21 months, by the age of 2 she'll be broke of it though, or so I'm hoping.
My son was off the bottle by 11 months, my daughter however, she's still taking at least 2 bottles a day and she is 20 months today!
my son is 2 next month and he is still on the bottle! he has to have his milk in the bottle..we've tried a few times for a week or so to get him to drink milk out of his sippy cup, but no luck. since the arrival of our 2nd son, who is 6mo, we kind of put weaning our older son on hold and now it's getting even harder! we know we really need to do it cold turkey but he's small (less than 5 percentile) so we just worry he's not getting enough nutrients if we don't let him drink the milk. sigh.
My son is 6 months old and has never had nor will he ever have a bottle. I plan to breastfeed 1.5 to 2 years of age (give or take depending on his needs). When and if I give water or juice later on while still BFing I will give him a regular cup (not a sippy) rather than a bottle... but, thats quite a ways down the road.
My daughter was primarily formula fed (regrettably) but kicked the bottle for a sippy by 4 months. She was pretty stubborn about transitioning from sippy to a regular cup but I'm glad I tossed the bottles early so I didn't have the very same battle with those.
