My dad usually buys something to cook-out and we have a family get together and get my mom gifts and cards. I'm currently pregnant with my first so I get to join in on the celebration as a "mom" this year.....I'm excited.
my mom doesn't live close so I usually send her flowers and give her a call. Which reminds me, better order flowers
i usually take her out to eat, my treat of course.
I usually make her dinner, but this year I can't think of what to make for her. I will be baking her cookies, but I want to do more. I just don't know what to make for dinner. She also said she's rather wait for my brother to come home from school to celebrate. But I still want to do something more for her for this day.
We usually eat dinner at my grandmas home and we give the mothers cards. This year however...I am giving my mom a Bath and Body Works gift basket with sweet pea lotion, fragrance spray and a pouf (for bathing with while in the shower) and my aunt, grandma and mom all get a Bath and Body works hand soap with those tiny micro beads in them. I cannot wait to give them it...I actually paid over 20 dollars for it all...I am a college student and wanted to give more than I have in the past.
Since I'm finacially unstable I'll buy her a very nice card and spend quality time. I might be able to afford a trinket?!
Every mothers day my siblings and I pull together to buy my mom a gift and a card. We make her breakfast and serve it in bed and then later on take her out to eat.
If we feel especially festive we might buy a cake and some coke and watch a movie together at home.
My mom passed away a couple of years ago. I mostly spend the day missing her.
This is my first mother's day. :D I can't wait to start a tradition or two. :]
