Oh absolutely!! I would even sing to him and he would kick and move around when I did! I now sing him to sleep every night!
Not really. I've had conversations with her everyday since she's been born, though.
Not when I was pragnet not I do now !
I did sometimes, I couldn't help feeling kinda silly though. I sang to her pretty much.
I plan on doing this. :) I want to read aloud to my baby and sing. I also want to make sure I vacuum a lot and do a decent deal of noisy things so the baby will be used to it when it's born.
But I am not pregnant yet. Maybe in 4 years. P:
I'm currently 6.5 months pregnant and me and my fiance talk to her everyday! We sing to her, say good night and good morning, just tell her random things, etc. She moves like crazy everytime we do too! She definately knows our voices because she won't really move for other people, but the second mommy and daddy talk to her she's jiving around constantly!
I did. I don't remember what I said. It was all random stuff. I would sing twinkle twinkle little star every time he woke up or went to sleep though. Even now, when he gets hurt or upset, that song calms him right down.
sure. his daddy/my husband is overseas right now, so maybe part of it's the loneliness there. but i chatter away to him when i'm doing basic tasks throughout the day, or in the shower. it feels natural, like him kicking when i put my hand on my belly.
@JadaFish@xanga - That's kinda how I felt too, although I know there was really no reason to. And singing just seemed easier.
i used to talk to them about their daddie, and about us that we went through, and what we had felt for each other. and then i would tell them stories about other people, and whenever i had a conversation with someone that i wanted them to hear, i would rub my stomach and ask them if they heard it... oh, i miss being pregnant with my little boy & girl.
I did all the time =) Mostly when I was home by myself and he moved around and kicked. We had "Mommy, Daddy, Baby Time" at night, and it was really great. Made the time more memorable for us all, I think. My husband loved talking to his son about all the things in life and I enjoyed the bonding it seemed to give us as a family.
My first child I read outloud to him. War and Peace, House of seven Gables, Moby Dick, Great Expectations, Little Women, Little Men, Jurassic Park,....and a lot of other books.
My second I read Anna Kareninna, Pride and Prejudice, and had his big brother read to him Dr. Suess.
My third he just had his brothers read to him as with my fourth.
@alterEGGO@xanga - Wow! Your child may grow up to be a literature professor. I like your ambitious choices of literature.
