  • Poop!

    Poop!

Yes, I called this one poop.

How many of you moms out there have walked into your child without a diaper on, and realizing that they took off their own diaper, with poop in it? Hah! I have done this a few times, but none of them have been like the time I walked into Sean yesterday, while waiting on him to take a nap.

He had been rather quiet for some time, so I thought he was asleep until I walked by his door and saw his light on, so I opened the door...

He normally just poops and lets it fall on the floor and then tell me he has pooped... by coming to the door screaming, "Poop!"  This time, I guess he wanted to hand paint with it... it was rather smelly and he went straight into the tub. And ew, that tub was nasty looking, and very murky after he was done. It was on his face, in his hair... and in every crevice on his hands.

    Oh! The joys of motherhood!

What are your experiences with poop?

My 17-month-old did that too! It took me 45 minutes to scrub the poop off the walls, crib and dresser! I said, "If I never see baby poop again, it'll be too soon!"

  • Kristenmomof3@xanga

oh no!!! I have never had the poop paint problem luckly. I have had the poop in the tub thing though.

Stage #3 in the parent's emotional states before reaching acceptance: Horrified - Did a person who lives in my house just

    shit on the floor?

I think I would have cried...and maybe screamed in anguish too.  Haha!  I am very, very, very thankful that my son has never even attempted to take his diaper off and he just turned two.  Of course, he is showing no interest in potty training either.  He's only recently started telling us when he pooped, and it's maybe a couple of times a week that he tells us.  The rest of the time we just have to wait to smell it.

Oh. My. Gosh!!!  I would have died.  I have 3 kids, and so far have never seen anything quite so disgusting, but my youngest is only 11 months, and may be the one to attempt something like that.  I'm sorry you had to clean that up.

My sister did this repeatedly to my mother. I laughed like crazy with my brother as we thought it was hilarious at the time, I know realize that it wasn't. Well, at least not as funny as we found it then. (We were kids, 8 and 5 so really, at that age, poop is funny). My daughter has pooped on the floor, coffee table, stairs, bathtub (just once), and even the kitchen table and came to tell me about it. Once she did it, as the evidence was on her butt but I never found it. I think the dog ate it. Yuck. Oh and she has stuck her finger in her full diaper to show me she has poop.  No finger painting full scale though, yet.

  • patrickspeaches@xanga

I have never had that problem. And, only once did the poop in the tub happen. That was just an accident because she couldn't make it out fast enough to get to the toilet. I don't know what I would do in either of these situations.

  • TashaDW_18@xanga

Both of mine have pooped in the bathtub (once each) and one time I walked in and my daughter was in her crib with her diaper off and there was poop in it.  But she didn't mess with it or even sit down on the bed after her diaper was off.  She doesn't like to be dirty.  :)

I'm not sure how I would have handled the situation you had....ugh.

*dry heeve* So far, the worst of my experience is Megan's recent change to only going once a day...but going A LOT rather than spreading it out through out the course of the day. Oh, and preaching to the boys that they need to wipe better. *cringe* That's bad enough...

You are a very brave woman.

  • AngelOfConflict@xanga

That was so me yesterday morning and this morning *sigh* This isnt the first time either. So much fun, isnt it? I've started potty training today, lets hope for no more poop painting LOL

  • quotes3085@xanga

    ugh poop.

I work at a daycare and watch two and three year olds and help them potty train. it is so sick when they poop or pee in their underwear... then I have to wash out their gross undies in the toilet... yuck!

I'm scared of poop. No idea why, it's just disgusting. Every time my son poops, I cry a little inside.

If this happened to me, I'd run away screaming for help.

*pats u on the back*  All I can say is EWWW!  That said, I'm so sorry for you.  Of 3 kids only one of mine has done this and its a good thing it was the last or there wouldn't have been 3 lol.  Its a kid thing and remember this.... One day when you pull these pics out and show them to his future wife or kids w/ his bare lil tushy showing you will know you got mommy revenge ;)

That is so horrifying. I am going to staple my kids diapers shut so they can't get out of them.
Okay I wont, but I may keep them in easy to clean rooms until they are 12.

  • christygraves@xanga

Oh my.  That is insane.  That picture looks like it should be from some web pages archive on the horrors of parenting.  Crazy.

  • genkii_to_ureshii_risu@xanga

O boy!  Josh, the youngest kid I nanny, constantly leaks through, it gets on the rug all the time, he once put his hand to his mouth after fingerpainting with the stuff-- I am not sure if he ate the poop--  neither his mom, dad or I could be sure.

@Kristenmomof3@xanga - @patrickspeaches@xanga - @TashaDW_18@xanga - The thing is, Sean has never pooped in the tub. He just gets into a mood where he doesn't want to be in a poopie diaper and takes it off, normally he doesn't play in it like that. I am STILL trying to get the stains out of the carpet!

@SeeBeeWrite@xanga - Hahaha! I am so on step six!

@englishbelleinks@xanga - My son is two years and almost four months old. I have been on and off with potty training since he was eighteen months, and I think that is why he is ready now, or at least I am hoping! Hah.

@AngelOfConflict@xanga - That is the only time he has ever PLAYED in it. I was NOT expecting it when I walked in. I am a potty training kick... no more diapers! I will use that plastic to cover his underwear. At least when he poops in underwear he doesn't try to take them off (I have had to deal with that twice, haha).

@WintersWitch@xanga - Oh yes! I am thinking of a poster-size photo of that for his 16th birthday.

@bLueAnGeL55@xanga - I have thought about duct taping his diaper shut, haha.

  • x__RainOnHerParade@xanga

See, this is why I know I'm not ready to be a mother. I used to not be able to handle any kind of bodily projection at all. I'm still not good with vomit. I can see poop and be okay. The smell though knocks me on my butt. Ugh, I know I'll overcome this one day but until then...no thanks :P

  • Morningstarrising@xanga

Oh yeah.  BTDT.  Many times.  My nearly 3 year old is developmentally delayed, and this has been the sight in her room several times.

  • Amarisa@xanga

I remember painting with poop when I was a baby.  It was warm and felt good in my hands.  I guess I didn''t notice the smell.

  • JadaFish@xanga

@filtered_sunlight - LOL, your *dry heave* cracked me up!

This is nasty! My baby's only 9 months old, so she hasn't attempted this yet (and I hope she never does!). My nephew, however, did this several times!!   Ughhh. I don't even wanna think about what it was like to clean that up!!
