• Spending Time With Friends

  As a stay at home mom, I'm often in desperate need to get out of the house. Because running errands with three small children isn't all that appealing, I use my kids to get my weekly doses of adult conversation, even if it is about kids. The bonus is my kids get "socialized".
  
  It's been hard on the boys leaving their friends in Oklahoma.  We stay in touch a bit but they need friends here. It's been a bit difficult with my husband and I sharing a vehicle but we get out there and my boys have a small handful of friends we see often. We have a playdate with our neighborhood friends, a mother and her 2 year old daughter, once a week. If possible, we go out to an AP group park day on Thursdays.
  
  I just joined another moms group so I'm looking forward to making new friends there for myself and my boys. I'm also in touch with three homeschooling groups that we sometimes go do things with. I'm thankful for the internet to make it easier to meet people and make plans to get together, especially since my boys aren't in school making friends.
  
  How often do your children see friends outside of school/daycare?
