Better Baby Bottle -BabyLife Wee Go
by Mama Fox
With all the ranting and raving about BPA and all that nasty stuff in plastic these days, more companies are going to safer alternatives, especially for baby products. Enter: BabyLife's Wee-Go bottles
Babylife is reintroducing glass baby bottles, but with a new design and safety twist: the bottle is covered with a modern silicone sleeve (patent pending) that will help protect the bottle from breakage and also prevent bumping into other articles in your diaper bag.
This silicone sleeve is free of plastics and is 100% non-toxic. The bottle and the sleeve can be boiled or put in the dishwasher together. The silicone nipple is latex-free and non-toxic. The plastic ring, plug and cap contain no polycarbonates and are food grade, FDA approved and recyclable. The sleeve provides a good gripping surface during feeding and also a great tactile experience for your baby. Features a traditional venting system.Babylife is proud to give you a choice in using a baby bottle that is bisphenol A, phthalate, PVC and polycarbonate-free.
They come in 4oz and 9oz sizes and those 6 bright colors. They are ecofriendly, safe for your baby and pretty darn cool looking. Reading through the testimonials they seem very durable,one said it was dropped down stairs and landed just fine. There's even a cute picture of a baby goat drinking from one.I saw this browsing through blogs this morning and I wanted to share it here with you. Of course breastfeeding is best for your baby(can't get any more ecofriendly and baby safe as that) but even breastfeeding mothers may need a bottle sometime. It’s nice to know that no matter what you put into that bottle, be it formula or breastmilk, there won’t be anything harmful in there with it.
Do you prefer glass or plastic baby bottles? What brand are you using right now?

I don't have any kids, but I think those are really cool. I wonder if there's an adult version (as a replacement for plastic water bottles)...
Question is, how much are they? :X
@MaganLe@xanga - 17.99 for the 9oz and 11.99 for the 4oz. Link. A bit on the expensive side but could be worth it as it comes with the peace of mind that there's no chemicals leaching into whatever happens to be in it.
@LadyLibellule@xanga - SIGG has some really neat designs on their aluminum bottles. Link. (I find the prices here better then from the product's own site in most cases.)
@mamafox - Thanks. I've already got a SIGG bottle. I was just wondering if there was a safe glass bottle for adults out there.
@LadyLibellule@xanga - Crate and Barrel has some glass bottles. I don't know how durable they are but they are very nice looking.
@mamafox - Ooh... those are pretty.
I kind of wish they had silicone sleeves like the baby bottles, though. I'd like something I can drop down the stairs and not have it break.
Maybe I'll have a look around the Internet and see what I can find.
@LadyLibellule@xanga - Yeah I couldn't find any with a protective sleeve. Maybe it would be a good idea to write to BabyLife and suggest they branch out into adult bottles. I wouldn't mind one of those for myself. Haha!
That is my biggest problems with glass bottles, them breaking. I think its about time they came out with things like that.
Hi,I am the president of Babylife and yes, we are coming up with an adult version later this year with our patent pending silicone cover. They are very cool. Look for us under the name "Lifefactory". Thank you for your interest!
@LadyLibellule@xanga Look above.
@pwmarcus - Very cool!
We breastfed but if I needed a bottle I would definitely choose a glass one. I think these are so neat! That was a great solution.
