This is a funny question for me! I love arts and crafts but I never seem to get around to doing any! Sometimes I get started, but can never get finished. I hate that!
At Christmas, the one thing I do every year, and my husband and I have done it since the year we were married, is put an apple ornament on the tree with the name of a family member on it. Each time someone gets married or has a baby, they get an apple with their name and the year they were added on the tree. Each year we have someone new to add, and it's a wonderful feeling to look at all the names on our tree of the people we love so much and are so blessed to have.
I'm making gingerbread man ornaments and sending them to my friends with their Christmas cards :)
I study Industrial design , and I like the art ,too.
Unfortunatly I don't have any pictures of the art projects I do with "my kids", but my favorite holiday craft is making reindeer finger puppet gloves. Basically you take a pair of brown gloves and put reindeer faces on each of the fingers. It's great for singing songs with. Instead of Five Little Indians you can sing Five Little Reindeer. And it's great for the imagination!
Anyone know how to do a "candy wreath" ?
I once saw it somewhere. I often wonder how to make it. The candies are tied up not glued. And it's not like all the candy are in a tube bag and just shape the bag into a circle. Each candy is tied up seperately, each time when you want to eat one candy just use a scissor to cut it off from the wreath.
What to use as the frame of the wreath, that candies are to be tie to? and how to do tie each single candy to the wreath, so you cut one out and doesn't bother the others.
So if anyone knows, please post it. Thank you!!
