The past 8 months I've been using a
Skip Hop Dash bag as my diaper bag. It's worked pretty well. I love all the pockets, and that I can wear it messenger-style. But lately I've been wondering about getting another bag. Part of me wants to go with a bag that's bigger so I can hold more things. Then I realized that if it's bigger, I will have to carry more stuff and my bag will get heavier than it already is. Then I wondered about using my
Patemm pad to hold diapers and wipes and keeping them in D's stroller, and using a large purse to hold my things and a few toys and change of clothes for D. Hmmm... so many options.
What do you use as a diaper bag? How many diaper bags do you own?

I just have one of those cheap ones from walmart. I always keep it in the car... if I'm going in somewhere, I stick a diaper and a couple of wipes in my purse just in case. I hate carrying around a diaper bag.
Sometime during the infancy of my 2nd son I realized the futility of a diaper bag. It's just another junk holder. Plus my handbag always ended up with diaper bag stuff. I got rid of all my diaper bags but one. From then on I have used a section of a large handbag for diaper bag stuff. With most of my outings being only a couple hours (3 boys 5 and under); I just stick a couple things in my handbag. We keep a stock of diapers, wipes, extra outfits etc. in the car.
I have one diaper bag and then just a little bag for short outings. My diaper bag I use when I got out of town (which isn't often) or if I am have a big day planned (i.e. zoo, mall, appointments). Other than that I am starting to use this cute little bag a friend got me, like if I have to run to the store, or go do laundry, I throw in a diaper, wipes and a couple toys and formula if needed and I am good to go. I am hoping to eventually buy this one that is like a sling for over your shoulder and carry just that, no purse, no other bag!

I actually got it used from my cousin. I like it cause hubby doesn't feel silly when carrying it around. I would love a nice girly diaper bag that acts as a purse as well - but I know hubby would refuse to carry it - & it would be way to much work to switch them up all the time!
I think over the years I have had 15 or so diaper bags (seriously). I could never find the perfect one...kind of like shoes and/or purses. The one I used the most was the smallest version that Land's End offered. The other one I loved was my Vera Bradley huge bag for longer day trips and overnights. The ones I got from the hospital were very good also. Now I just use a bigger purse and throw in whatever I need, although I've found I don't carry near the amount of stuff I did with my first.
I don't have one. I just bring a diaper or two, wipes and the wetbag (I use cloth diapers) in my purse (which is a medium-sized patchwork bag from Napal that I love). If I need more than a couple diapers I just bring another cloth bag with me. I thought of buying a pretty diaper bag with my birthday money, then decided it was futile.
An enfamil bag I got at the hospital.... works great! I love it and best of all.... it was free! It has plenty of space and carries all that I need.
I finally downsized my big "You have a newborn! Now carry around the world!" diaper bag for a canvas tote that looks VERY little boy - and not so much baby. It was $2 and I take it everywhere because I don't carry a purse.
We have a diaper backpack from Land's End. It is actually designed for that purpose but it still looks like a regular backpack. We had our daughter's initials embroidered on it so she can use it for school when the time comes. There are probably a few other diaper bags in the house but we've never used them.
I use a travel bag that came with a luggage set. And I keep my "purse things" in one pocket of it. I like the idea of a big purse, though. I may switch..... :)
We used a small-ish Eddie Bauer one for a majority of my son's first year. My hubby didn't feel silly carrying it, so we made it work. When he was about 11 or 12 months I finally got tired of it and bought a big purse from H&M. I used the purse for about 6 months, and now I just stuff a few diaper bag things in my regular small purse. We leave the changing pad and diapers in the stroller basket so we always have them.
i have a skip hop dash. i love that it fits just the essentials and maybe more if you wanted. but i do like it for keeping things somewhat light.
for really, really light trips on the go... we have a skip hop bottle bag. it holds three bottles and that's pretty much it. but i use it for one bottle, or solid food, one diaper, wipes, a bib. really just the essentials for when i walk around the neighborhood for a quick errand. it has little pockets for stuff like my keys or metrocard. it's great b/c if i'm carrying my baby in the ergo, i don't want a heavy diaper bag to carry around too! you can carry it by the handle, on the shoulder, messenger style, or like a backpack!
we also have a skip hop backpack. this is for bigger trips and when she's in the ergo. i don't like carrying the dash messenger style w/ the ergo, it's not as balanced on my back if that makes sense.
lastly, i have a storksak which i LOVE. it's much roomier than the dash and all my friends are amazed it's a diaper bag. it goes w/ my casual clothes and some dressy clothes too. it was my most favorite thing postpartum. now that i'm back to work, i use it everyday and no one has caught on that it's not your regular handbag! i got the julie in chocolate. http://www.storksak.net/product.php?shopprodid=160
right now it's just like a tote bag. $5 at walmart. But real diaper bags I own like 5.
I currently have two diaper bags. One is by Amy Coe and the other is by Kalencom. I love them. Niether one of them look like a diaper bag. When I got pregnant, I knew I would never carry anything that looked like a diaper bag. Bunnies and polkadots don't work with my wadrobe. My SIL was mad that she didn't think of it and one of my Aunt's wants the Kalencom bag when I am done with it.
I carry everything in my diaper bags. Cloth diapers, a wet bag, wipes, teething medicine, a pacifier, a sippy cup, toys, my wallet, and several random things that I would have to find the diaper bag to tell you about.
The funny thing is watching my hubby carry them. I really have been meaning to get him a mandiaperbag.
i have 2 diapers bags. 1 free "similac" diaper bag from the hospital and a "lands end" diaper. i carry diapers, wipes, wash cloth, pacifier, toy, my wallet, sunglasses, purell, keys, cellphone & a bib. i carry my ds milk, snack & water in a cooler when i go out.
I think I have 4 total...one from the hospital, one my SIL gave me, one I got at my shower, and one I bought for myself. The one I use right now is the one I bought from Wal-Mart for $12. LOVE it...all the other ones had zipper that kept getting stuck and so far this one hasn't given me trouble. I do wish I could convince myself I don't really need such a huge bag. I'm just always afraid the worst will happen and then I won't have what I need.
I use the one i was given in the hospital and i bought a big pink one that looks like one of those designer purses but only use it when she's going to stay over night or we are gonna be gone for the whole day. I like the simple one i have though i can put a bottle in the side and stock it up with diapers and a snack if were just doing arrens
uh... iono, not something to worry about now fortunately ^^;...
I have 2 diaper bags, which I don't currently use. One is huge--great for traveling. I think it's an Eddie Bauer messenger bag. The other is a cheap-o from K-Mart that is too small for the stuff I need to carry for both kids. Because my oldest daughter has a peanut allergy, I must carry Benadryl and an Epi Pen wherever we go. Currently I use a Youth Specialties National Youth Workers Conference backpack that I got Fo-Free!
I have one diaper bag. It's a very cute blue, brown, green diaper bag from Babys-R-Us. I hated spending so much on it ($38), but for two kids it was perfect. With a two year old boy and a four month old girl, everything they need except wipes is the exact opposite of the other. I have bottles and sippy cups. Size 1 and Size 5 diapers. Blues and pinks. Alas! Having a big diaper bag is a life saver for me.
I'm amused that we're having a discussion about diaper bags. It's a bag that holds diapers. Oooooh I'm going to start a discussion on what kind of backpack I used in college!! It was purple and held all my books, plus a few pens. WOW!
