Good Times: Romantic Beach Getaway, 39 Weeks Pregnant, and a Birthday Celebration!
by Mama Turtle
I discovered that Papa Turtle did snap one picture at Myrtle Beach, the view of the ocean from our balcony. (Oh yeah, that was a great trip! We went spur of the moment, just the two of us, last week, courtesy of the Army. It was a two night/three day marriage retreat.)
About 39 weeks here. By my calculations, tomorrow is 40 weeks for me.
Happiness is a Birthday Cake. Turtle4 picked out the sprinkles at the store and helped me put them on. Notice Daddy picked out pink birthday candles to go on it.

What was your past week like? Have you ever taken a trip or vacation with your spouse or significant other without the kids?

So cool! We went on a local Army marriage retreat but we had the kids with us (they had daycare there). That would be so great to just get away for a little while but it won't happen while our kids are so young. We hope that in a couple of years we can drop them off with Grandma during her summer vacation.
Hello,
My name is Megan Peterson, and I work at an Internet map-content start-up company in Boulder, Colorado. I just perused your Momaroo Blog. In general, we're trying to bring information about family-friendly locations (among other interests like art, hiking, etc.) onto the Internet (Google maps, for example) as well as onto GPS devices and in-car navigation units. Our initial focus is on the US, Canada & UK. Our site will be structured and dynamic, driven by our users who will create and edit content (like a Wikipedia page). Also, our site will be free to all users, registered or not.
I'm very interested in having you participate in our closed site review occurring in several weeks. Essentially, we'd give you login information, have you create a user profile, peruse the site (i.e. the family-friendly locations), and give us detailed feedback. Also, we will enable you to invite others who may be interested in our site.
Ideally, you enjoy and contribute to our site, and blog about it. We're hoping this is something you'd be interested in.
Thanks for your time. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. I look forward to your response.
Cordially,

Love the smiles on the kids' faces! Hope the next week is as exciting. hehe
Aw! It looks like you had a great time and the kids look so adorable!
I just recently went on a 4 day & 3 nights trip to Texas to see the hubz before he left to Iraq and unfortunately, I didn't bring the little mama's with me. At first, I was gonna bring her but the hubz told me not to because he didn't want me to struggle on the plane with all her luggage and on top of that, my luggage too! it woulda been a hassle! but my 4 days at Texas was BEAUTIFUL!!!!! ah, I miss him so much.... wish'd we coulda had more time. and congrats on the belly :) good luck mama.
Gotta love the Army these days...I do.
My husband and I recently stayed overnight at Singer Castle on Dark Island, one of the Thousand Islands. He won a trip on a radio call in contest for boat ride, tour of the castle, and overnight stay in the royal suite. It is awesome to recharge your romance once in while by taking some time away from the kids.
