So I have two pregnant friends right now, and that means I'm more conscious of maternity and baby clothes. I LOVE to buy either for expecting pals!
I was telling one of these friends about a funny maternity shirt I saw online that said, "I just wanted a back rub". She told me she had ordered one that says, "Epidurals are for sissies". I wondered how many other cute shirts I could find.
So for all of you expecting moms, here are some more great maternity shirts:

"Don't...touch...the...belly." long sleeve top

"Fertile Myrtle" tank top
Long sleeve "Can you tell me if my shoes don't match?"

"Body By Baby" maternity tank
Even the dads can get in on the action...

"I'm having what she's having" father t-shirt" (Love that one!)

"Diaper Duty Daddy" New Dad Shirt

"Mama's Boy" + "Boy's Mama" set
In addition to these 'cute' shirts, I was surprised to find some that could be considered offensive...

"I should have had a HEADACHE!" long sleeve

"Got epidural?" tank top

"I am a Mom therefore I drink" tank top

"Daddy's Little Helpers" beer and remote acid wash tee

"They whine, I drink wine." "Caution: May whine at any time"
Okay, at first, I had a link to the website but I've removed it because I don't want anyone thinking I'm against this website for having some shirts I think are somewhat offensive. They only make what sells, I'm sure. I just wonder why some of it sells?! Did this surprise anyone else?
I'm not a mother yet, so am I being clueless or do you think some of these border on the offensive too?

Not offensive, but they are silly and I could not imagine anyone actually wearing them lol.
I will probably tick a few people off, but in my ever so humble opinion, I think those shirts are ridiculous. I have seen others that I just if not more ridiculous.
I don't particularly care for the form-fitting shirts pregnant women wear. I think it just looks very tacky. I find the casual shirts.. loose fitting.. to be much more attractive.
Question: If "Epidurals are for sissies" is not offensive why is "Got epidural?" Having an epidural is a matter of personal preference so I wouldn't think either shirt should be offensive. (I had an epidural with my first, no drugs with my second)
Same question with "I just wanted a back rub" and "I should have had a headache". They both imply the sexual act that conceived the baby.......
I don't drink so I wouldn't wear the ones about drinking, but I don't think I'd find them offensive if I saw someone wearing them.....
I think some of them are surprising but hey what do i know?
I think they are more for laughs and aren't supposed to be taken seriously. I have actually said I drink because I have kids. That doesn't mean I was serious though. you will understand more when you have your own children. :)
Thay shouldn't be taken too seriously but I am not a fan of the drinking references.
I had been to that site before, and DIDN"T buy any shirrts because of the one that said "I'm a mom therefore I drink" And the "I should have had a headache"
To me those just are negative attitudes ABOUT the pregnancy,a nd I didn't want to support the site that would sell thos shirts!
I've never been pregnant, but I was offended by one that I saw that said "I'm not fat, I'm knocked up!"
I'm subscribed to this site because I want to be a delivery nurse and I'm taking midwifery courses after I finish nursing school. I kid you not, I dig this kind of stuff.
I saw another preggo in my OB's office with a shirt that said "Yes, I'm pregnant. No, you can't touch my belly." I was surprised someone actually had one of those shirts.
I have a somewhat offensive one. My husband and I are K-State graduates and diehard K-State football fans. We had season tickets the year I was pregnant with my son, so he bought me a maternity shirt that read "Because we have to do something when the Wildcats aren't playing." Most people who saw it thought it was hysterical!
I like the "Epidurals are for sissies," "I should have had a headache" (Hilarious), and I'm a mom therefore I'd drink. I'd certainly have a drinking problem if I was a mom BUT there is a such thing as adoption or just using birth control so you wouldn't be in that mess
I'm not sure that I would call any of those shirts "offensive." I am way more offended by the amount of clothing (or lack thereof) that non-pregnant women wear all the time. I think that the silly shirts are just a way for pregnant women to feel like they can have some fun with fashion.
I thought they were hilarious, relax and have a laugh:)
The "non-offensive" shirts are cute. The other ones are just kinda stupid really...I wouldn't wear any of them.
Hhahaha I think they are a kick and honestly i got one that said, "I'm not fat I'm knocked up!" LoLÂ
I guess everyone just sees things in their own light really :)

When I get pregnant, I am so getting that "Don't touch the belly" one. I can't stand being touched, except for a select few people.
I don't really think they're offensive! I wanted one last time I was pregnant that said, "I swallowed a watermelon seed!"
Well, you want to talk about offensive...I guess you haven't been to http://www.tshirthell.com/babyhell.shtml (aka Baby Hell).
I love those shirts and find them hilarious. However, I think it's something that should remain in the home. No need to be tacky, now.
The fact that so many strangers find it absolutely necessary to touch a stranger's stomach enough to warrant a t-shirt...it boggles my mind. If that happens to me when I'm pregnant, I'll say something like I have a benign tumor in my abdomen and please don't do that because it presses against my intestines and could cause them to spasm, in which case, they are buying me new pants.
I dunno, I just have this kind of "I don't care what you do/think" attitude towards expression.
I might wear one of those shirts if I ever got pregnant, just for a laugh.
I love the body by baby one... the rest are just ehg, nbd
You find THOSE shirts offensive? Or you find the others on the website offensive? Because I think those are damn funny.
And I totally need the Don't Touch the Belly one. When I get bigger, someone will probably lose a hand, if not their whole arm.
Well, it depends on the person's sense of humor. I mean, of course just because you see someone wearing a shirt that says, "I kick people's butts" doesn't necessarily mean they do. Some people just have a more twisted sense of humor . . . . like me, I guess. Hahaha. I won't go into detail. But usually, I think some do it for shock value, while others just think it's funny. Just, don't take it too seriously.
I personally thought "Got Epidural?" was funny, but a lot of the others DID toe the line on bad taste. Okay, a few actually stuck the proverbial toe over the line. I agree with bamfness, in that form-fitting maternity clothes look tacky. I find that looser, flowing clothes are not just more flattering, but romantic-looking, as well, for the expectant mom.
The "I should have had a headache" tee looks like a pro-abortion slogan, almost! Like she didn't want it then and STILL doesn't want the baby. :( I find that repulsive and SAD. I really hope i never see anyone actually wearing that one...that would totally piss me off.
The first bunch of shirts are great....ESP the one that says don't touch the belly! Love it!Â
