Meet Mama Pig!

Hi, I am Mama Pig. I am the busy mother to eight children. Five by birth, three by marriage. Papa Pig and I have been together for almost 7 years, married almost 3. Our children range from 17 years to 18 months. We are a blended family of eight with two pairs of children that are the same age. It is like we have two sets of twins that happen to have different parents. My daughter likes to remind me often that when she is starting her senior year of high school, our youngest will be entering Kindergarten. Our youngest angel has Down syndrome, which has put us into a whole new world, so to speak. As you can imagine, life is never quiet.
I love to read all kinds of books. I am preparing to re-enter school so that I can complete my degree with law school somewhere in my future. I love the law, and I can argue something all day if I can find a willing participant.

Welcome!
I will be very interested to read your blog. I have 4 children from a first marriage ages 27 -18 and 6 year old from my second marriage. A little different, my 4th was entering his sr. year of high school when my youngest was in kindergarten (now they are 1st year of college and 1st grade!) So while the ages are kind of different, your nest is still full and my is almost empty, there are some similarities.
So, All of that to say, looking forward to getting your take on all things family :)

Welcome! Which kind of law do you want to study? I was always partial to Constitutional Law. If I could ever go back to school for a law degree, that's what I would study.

@MlleBaroque@xanga - Hands down...family law. After a nasty divorce, which turned out fine in the end, I have had this passion for family law. Now too with piglet 8 having a disability, I would love to get into some sort of advocacy position. Thank you for the welcome.
