Precious Photos of Father and Son

Seriously, I about died as I was taking these, they are just so precious. We had just checked into our room and were taking a bit of a break before heading back out again, and Papa Hippo and D were playing on the bed and, well, yeah. Cutest. Ever.
D certainly seems drawn to the camera (which I'm grateful for, as it's meant I've had no trouble getting pictures of him looking straight at it). However now that he's mobile-ish he's able to scoot towards me and try to grab at it, which will make things a bit more difficult. In this last photo I think he was drawn to the lens cap which was dangling off the lens thanks to this little elastic band Papa Hippo got for it, which I may stop using as much if it's going to turn into baby bait.

That 3rd photo is my favorite! I love how Daddy is slightly out of focus. The picture quality on the first few are really amazing... is that done with natural light (if so, you get some great lighting in your apt)? It's a good idea to keep the lens cap attached, since it's easy to misplace it somewhere (especially when you leave the house), but you're right - babies tend to be drawn to it. I just try to remember to put the lens cap back into the camera bag whenever I use the camera. What camera do you use?
Big fan of daddy and baby pictures. They are always so cute and there is just something about a dad with his baby that always touches the heart!

madddd cute, i must say. makes me venture a guess as to what kinda father i would be someday, what my kid will look like.
but those concerns are way far off in the distance, in the future.

@mamakoala - @viarah@xanga - Thanks! I have a Canon EOS 30D that we bought a few months before D's birth. Those pics were taken in a hotel room while we were on a trip over the weekend, one whole wall was windows so there was plenty of natural light which is what made these turn out so fabulously. =) That, and snap-snap-snapping away. I think I took about 100 pictures while they were playing like this!
