  • Life This Past Week...

    Mama Foxby Mama Fox

Sorry I haven't been posting much. I don't see myself posting much next week either.

Papa Fox is on evening shifts for the moment at the academy. This last week was role playing and next week, they are going to be on the streets with officers. He is very excited. He had a great time on his last ride along and now he has a full week of them!

Because of his schedule, my normal routine has been a bit screwy.  We have been spending the mornings as a family, and when he leaves at noon, the boys and I have a fairly relaxing afternoon. I have been getting a lot of alone/quiet time in the evenings, waiting for Papa Fox to come home about midnight. That has really helped lower my stress levels.

We are all enjoying the evening shift. It is what Papa Fox wants to do so these couple of weeks are a preview of the future. It seems our days flow so much better. The boys are in a much better mood in the mornings than they are at 5pm after a long day when Papa Fox gets home and I'm cooking dinner. I have more free time to read the books I picked up from the library and I've even had a couple of uninterrupted baths!

So just explaining why I haven't been around much. I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!

My husband currently starts work at 6:00 a.m. and isn't usually back at home until 5:00 or so in the evenings. He is currently looking into the possibility of a different job, and if he would do that it may be a later shift and he would also be home in the mornings and not as much in the evenings. I've been trying to figure out how much this is going to change our family's dynamics - I guess we'll have to wait and see!

I used to work from about 6 p.m. to 4 a.m. I would pick up a hamberger or pizza and we would eat together in bed. We were young in our marriage. After the meal we shared our love of each other. We weer very poor, but we sure enjoyed each other a lot.

    Blessings
