  • Working from Home, Bringing Baby to Work

    by Mama Platypus

Gosh darn it. We're home owners! I hate being an adult but yay room for Baby Platypus.  Thank you hun. I love you for everything.

So I work at home on Fridays and sometimes SOMEONE gets needy and I have to hold her as I one finger type. You know, mommy can finish quicker if you weren't so whiney you fat hiney. Wow. She's still all cheeks. I think they need their own zipcode. Mommy lubs you tubs.

Today I work from home in the morning and then she comes with me into work in the afternoon. Women were already arguing with each other yesterday to not be baby hogs when she comes in this week. I just ask you fools to purell yo stank ass hands por favor.

If you're a working mom, how easy or hard was the transition back to work after having a baby?  Did you request any changes, such as working from home part of the week?

Congrats on getting a home.  I wish Baby Whale gets her room some day too.  It'll be so much nicer she has her own play area.

Your baby is sooo cute!  Those are your cheeks aren't they?  I swear I'm complimenting you!  My son has big cheeks and when I took out my baby picture I had the exact same cheeks! Or rather, he has my cheeks and I have cheek bones somewhat similar to yours.

    Anyway...it's too early...

Um, the transition back to work was difficult.  For the first week I was constantly tired.  I had NO time for rest.  Daytime was work and the evenings were a balance between caring for baby, caring for hubby, cleaning and preparing for the next day.  It was a vicious cycle.

I put in my 2-week notice and next Tuesday is my last week.  I'm going to be a stay-at-home mom most of the time and will look into something part time.  We're not rich enough for the fam to live off of one salary so we're moving into my parents house.

I went from working full time to part time when my 1st was born. I work mostly from home, and go to work 1 day per week. It works out really well, even though it keeps me busy. I have an awesome boss and he is really flexible with my time. I take my kids in to work some times, especially if I have to just pick something up, etc. They love going in and people seem to like when they come!

I a a stay at hoe mommy of a 3 month old. We are home owners as well. I cant imagine living in a condo or apt without a yard for the baby space space space to walk her around in for endless hours

congrats on the new home once again. my daughter still has the cheeks and she's 18 months old. haha

i really wish my work could have done something out so i could be at home some part of the week, but i was a pre-k teacher and my presence was the only way i could work. oh well, i'm just staying at home now. i wouldn't have it any other way.

@WaterfallPhilosophies@xanga - i  think her cheeks she gets from daddy. mine are high, hers sag like a pair of halmohni jiji's.

So happy for you about the home! We are waiting until I finish my degree - hopefully some time next year, we'll be buying, too. It's scary, all this grown-up stuff, but more exicting than scary. I can't wait to have a garden for the lil' one to run around in (he's walking now - yay!).

Those are some award-winning cheeks - don't you have to resist the urge to take a little bite out of them? They're so cute!
