Meet My Baby Girl!
My brother is a photographer and he just took A's six month pictures this week. I thought I'd share a few so you can "meet" her!
My precious little baby girl... hard to believe she's six months already!
I'll have to post a few of my son at some point, also!
Where do you get your kid/family pictures takes? Do you get them taken at certain ages?

Very cute!
We just take our own...no studio portraits...it was hectic around the time she was 1, and it was too hard to really get her out when she was younger than that, so we never got around to it. No certain age...we take photos every day...haha

Oh my, she is so beautiful! Ours is Lily Rose, and she's 4.5 months. It's such a joy, being a parent.

Well, my older cousins got studio pictures of their kids every month up to the age of one. So I had to live up to that....but instead of studio pics every month, I took mine to JCPenney portrait studio for months 1, 3, 6, 9 and 12 and took our own pictures for the in between months. (I'm an amateur photographer :))
The only thing that we really do as a tradition is handprints. We have a 'handprint' wall, and each year the kids paint up their hands and splat it on the wall. We mark each child's name and age on it along with something they liked about that year. Its been really fun, and we take their pictures next to their hands. Other than that they just smile and say 'cheese' to me as I constantly walk around with a camera in my hand :) You're daughter is sooooo cute!!!
Every month at a studio the first year. will cut it down to every three or six months after one but we take a lot of pics at home just about every day.

I have a great friend who is a wonderful photographer and has her own studio. Luckily, I get all of my childrens/family pictures for free that turn out AMAZING! I also do photography so I take a bunch myself as well

Adorable pics! I especially like the second one.
I could never justify spending the money to get professional pictures of them taken regularly - especially with the number of pics I take at home. They are beautiful and all, just something we chose to go without. So the only time they have had it done (other than school pics) is when my SIL (who does it for her kids) is around and my in-laws want a pic of all the grandkids. But then we aren't paying for it.

I do pictures by age, and have them done in a studio, its the only place he sits still long enough to take them! lol
She's beautiful! Isn't it crazy how fast they grow!? We got professional pictures done twice... not so good. He's better with candids!

We've taken all of his pictures ourself except his very first pictures and ones we had taken when he was about 4 months old. We are getting family portraits done soon. I prefer the pictures I take myself. I think I can take a pretty professional shot if I wanted to do it.

Awww, she's adorable! I just had my daughter's six month pictures taken this week too! We went to a Babies R Us, Kiddie Kandids place this time, before we'd been getting them taken at a Flash Digital place (way more expensive there but nice pictures). What day was your daughter born??
I have a 17 month old and I've only ever taken her in for professional pictures once. I mess around in photography, and I just do all her pictures myself. =)
