The "Everybody Loves You" Song
Yesterday was our closing! Yay! I took the day off.
So yesterday morning the fat one decides to wake up at 5:40. Fine. Mommy's up Tubs. So I feed her and she houses that sh*t. Yay! I always try to cheer her when she finishes a bottle so she'll do it more often. Sometimes she doesn't finish and she just keeps smiling with the milk oozing out of the side of her mouth and I'm like "NO! It's not play time! You have to finish it." And she'll just keep smiling and since I'm a sucka for that smile I give up. Punk ass. So usually after she has her morning bottle I'll play with her for a bit and then pop her in her swing where she'll play till we have to leave for daycare and usually she'll fall asleep in it for her morning nap. Yesterday morning I put her ass in and she started whining. *sigh* So I took her out and I laid her next to the hubs so she'll go to sleep with him. I think 20 minutes later she was still fussing. So I went, lay down next to her, and started singing my "Everybody Loves You" song as I patted her chest. What is the "Everybody Loves You" song you ask? You just name everyone that loves her. World Leaders, athletes, it don't matter that they never met her. Yesterday morning's version went like this...

...then she was OH YOU TEE out! Woohoo! She loves this song. Mommy's awsome.

I think everyone makes up songs. Anything they find soothing that helps! It doesnt matter how stupid you sound, as long as they are happy!! haha

oh my gosh....i think i would have a whole album out by now if i recorded the songs i sang to M when she was a baby, and i was trying to put her back to sleep. and might i say, some of them were really good songs. haha
That song is hilarious! I might give it a try myself. I definitely make up songs all day long but not just for my daughter, I was doing it for myself long before she came along, then for my hubby, so it's just a part of what her nutty mommy does. I tend to sing about what I am doing at the moment, cooking, cleaning, watching TV, whatever.

I remember my mom getting frustrated with my younger brother and singing 'bye-o-bye-o baby, shut your pretty face" LOL I think I sang this once to one of my kids and you should have seen my hubby's face. Haven't done it since...but we do make up silly songs.
