Tue, Jul 22, 2008 (BabyCenter News) - It's My Binky has announced a recall of about 115,000 pacifiers, sold at Nordstrom and baby boutiques nationwide, in cooperation with the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).
The pacifier button, ring handle, and shield attached to the nipple can detach, posing a choking hazard to infants. The company has received two reports of pacifier buttons, ring handles, and nipple shields detaching.
The pacifiers were sold in blue, white and pink with various words or designs printed on the button. The words include, but are not limited to: stud muffin, princess, prince charming, mute button, my mom rocks, my dad rocks, future ceo, flirt, daddy's girl, bad to the bone, born to shop, and little monster. One of the designs available is an image of a skull. The pacifiers have the word "Japlo" embossed in small letters on the front of the pacifier shield, at the bottom center. The pacifiers were sold at Nordstrom and baby boutique retail stores nationwide from February 2006 through June 2008 for between $5 and $6. They were made in Malaysia.
