Love Is In the Mail In the Form of Diapers!
by Mama Turtle
I have totally failed to mention that last week I received a huge Happy Tushies wet bag that was a gift from my best friend.
Yesterday I received a package from my dad, full of 3 dozen new Gerber prefolds (the birdseye type with the padding in the middle). I already knew it was coming and thanked him profusely. While they don't make the best diapers to actually use as a diaper (I didn't have the heart to tell him that) I can already think of several great uses for them - back up diapers, burp cloths, post partum pads (so much for all that window shopping I did last night lol) and all around birth supplies as well as general cleaning supplies. Sweet!
They were both wonderful boosts for the day.
What was the most thoughtful or useful gift you received when you were expecting?

If you haven't washed the gerber prefolds you might want to check with your local Target or Wal-Mart. My local Target carries the 100% cotton gerber prefolds with no foam insert. I think they are called the "diaper service quality" ones. They're the ones we used to cloth diaper ALL the boys. And if they don't have those, I'd probably return them for the 100% birdseye flats. They are so much more useful in my opinion.
Who ever thought that FOAM and POLYESTER BATTING! was an ABORBANT material was just smoking crack or something and should have been drug tested THAT DAY!
