Excuse Me, Do You Have a Staring Problem?
So two nights ago we fed Baby Platypus around 7:30ish and after a bath and some play time she fell asleep around 10ish. We gave her her final bottle at 11:30 while she was still asleep. I passed out at 1ish beside her. Baby Platypus and I sleep on the living room floor on top of a tempurpedic mattress that's only a few inches thick. We don't have air conditioning setup in the bedroom so she and I just hang out in the living room most of the time.
So anyways at 3am I hear "Eh Eh Eh Eh...Eh..." *sigh* This is usually her I'm-semi-awake-but-I-will-be-fully-awake-if-you-don't-unswaddle-my-arms whining. So I unswaddle her arms and she falls back asleep right away. About 15 minutes later I hear her whining again and her eyes are closed but she'll turn her head left....and then right...and the left...and the right....so I know she's semi awake again so I reswaddle her arms and she falls back asleep. At aroudn 4ish I hear it again, "Eh eh eh..." I unswaddle her and go back to sleep. At 5am I hear cooing. I turn my head to look left and I see these 2 beady lil eyes blink back at me in the dark.
"Excuse me, do you have a staring problem?"
She started grinning from cheek to cheek and kicking her legs. Our faces were literally like a foot away from each other. Oh what a great way to wake up in the morning even if it was 5am. Unlike her usual tears which I translate to, "OH MY GOD! ANOTHER DAY WITH THESE GOD FORSAKEN PEOPLE AS MY PARENTS!"
Thank you Baby Platypus. You made mommy's day.

Before when she was sick she was waking up in the middle of the night so I'd throw her in her swing and then I'd pass out. In the mornings she would have these lil presents for me.

Absolutely LOVE IT!! She is so cute! We bring in my lil man (7 1/2 months old) into bed with us around 5:00 for a bottle and to go back to sleep with us, otherwise he will stay up for good. I love feeling him stare at me and then cover me with gooey wet kisses to wake me up. It's the best feeling in the world...
ooooh, i love that picture of her in the crib with just her baby foot showing! i love baby feet!! =)
M did the eh eh eh thing with the swaddling too. Love the 100 days pic. She is lovely. The smiles and giggles make all the other stuff worth it...most of the time...sometimes...
I love waking up to my happy baby in the morning too. It reminds me of when my nephew was a baby and he'd wake me up by petting my face. Your baby is so cute and happy looking!
I love the spit bubble pic and the baby foot. How blessed you are to have such a sweet little girl.
Adorable story and adorable pics. Thanks for sharing.
haha that 100 days pic is awesome! i'm jealous that i didn't think of anything clever like that
Your baby must be so cute.
How adorable! Love it. Reminds me of when my little bro was a baby, he would wake up at night and I would go get him and crawl into bed with my mama. He was always the first person up in the morning and he would just sit there and stare at us until we woke up or he got impatient and started pushing at our eyelids with his fingers.
