First Time at the Park
by Mama LionWe took Baby Lion to the park for the first time last weekend and put him on the swing. I came prepared with my antibacterial wipes so that I can wipe down the swing. Now I know that it's pretty useless bringing those because I went through 5 wipes and it was still dirty BLACK... GROSS! Oh well...
He didn't show much excitement about it as I was anticipating and he actually yawned once while he was on it
. Towards the end he wouldn't even look at the camera because he was distracted by all the kids playing on the jungle gym. Maybe next time he'll appreciate it more...When did your baby actually start enjoying trips to the playground?

Ours (6 months) just went for the first time and could have cared less. The kids were fun to watch and the slide was a little scary even with Daddy's hands still around her. The lake however rocked! She is our water rat for sure!
Ours never cares much for the swing but she liked the slide when my sis took her on her lap. I think, being that she quite mobile, she's more into being on the ground right now. I love your hat, btw.
Baby Lion is very cute :). And I would have been the same way with the antibacterial wipes. That's the only bad part about a park besides the constant need of making sure nobody trips ;). I love watching my little cousins play at parks. They have too much fun!
i did the same thing with antibacterial wipes the first time i took baby koala to the playground. now i just put her in play clothes and try to keep her from touching her face until i've cleaned her hands. she hated her first time on the toddler swing a few months ago (a little over 1?), and she still doesn't like it much. she just likes walking around and watching the older kids. if i bring a ball with me, she enjoys playing with that as well.
1st baby right? Yeah, that would explain the wipes. :) My kids just run and I wipe them off before we leave or before snack if we have one at the the park.
My two older boys never really liked the swings. My youngest has always loved them. He is a dare devil though and - at 22 months - thinks he can climb all the big kids stuff too. He shows no fear. I just stay close and let him explore. Maybe he just isn't the swing type of baby. Who knows. He is adorable though.
LOL That's so funny! You are a very cute mommy, by the way! I loved the playground growing up, he'll definitely reach that point..but it will probably be a little while. It wouldn't hurt to take him every once in a while to see what happens. YAY!
