Update: Still Sick
Poor thing is so tired. Her new friend Yam the Yumsoh was guarding her gigantic cheeks to make sure no one would steal them and use them as butt implants.
Thanks everyone for your warm words. Baby Platypus is still sick. She's still pretty congested but it sounded so much worse yesterday. Her cough seems to sound worse though. It sounds like the kind of cough that hurts your throat. Good thing her 3 month appt was on Saturday. The Dr said that just as long as she didn't have a cough just use saline drops and just monitor her cold. He said that kids/babies shouldn't be taking cold meds till they're 6. That's SIX! SIX! As in SIX! We were floored. So basically they just have to wait out every cold they get for 6 years?! That's tough man. He said there were 3 deaths and research has shown that cold meds weren't even that effective on young children.
Saturday night was Uncle Jin's birthday so we headed over early to help. Papa Platypus watched Baby Platypus as I helped Auntie Angie in the kitchen (Do you guys do this too? Call all your friends Aunt something or Uncle something after you have a kid? WTH? I can't stop!). Auntie Susan (SEE!) works at a company that does design work for Carter's and Disney so she brought gifts for Baby Platypus! Thanks Auntie Susan and thanks for putting Baby Platypus to sleep! The baby and I left early since she wasn't feeling well. Happy birthday Jin and thanks Angie for inviting us.
We didn't send her to school yesterday. My mom came up to watch her for us (Thanks Angie for coming with me to pick her up and for watching Baby Platypus!). Poor thing drank her milk this morning, had a coughing fit, and projectile vomitted everything out. I mean she had milk coming out the wazoo and it was dripping out of both nostrils! I think she threw up all 5 ounces. I remember coming out of the bedroom and I see my mom sitting Baby Platypus up and she had her hand cupped under her mouth with milk vomit pouring over the sides and the lil one was still going and I the I saw her projectile vomit over the hand onto the blanket. MY POOR BABY! I bolted to the bathroom and grabbed a towel. She was sooo exhausted from the coughing and the puking that she passed out afterwards. Omigod I hate seeing her like this. When she hurts I hurt. We both have to save up our vacation days since we're moving and it's only June now. What if she gets really sick later ya know? We're moving end of July! Into the house that we originally put in a bid for. We put in an offer, they accepted, mid way through attorney review some focker put in another bid. We said eff dat and walked away. A week and a half later the house went back on the market (probably cause they couldn't get a mortgage). We put a clause in the contract stating that the seller couldn't show the house to anyone else while in attorney review. Shouldn't have shown it the first time you donkeyfart! I'm bitter but yet excited for a new beginning in our new house... Pray for us but mostly pray for Baby Platypus.
Get better baby. Please. Mommy misses your laugh.

Aw...poor darling. I really hope she gets better soon. After we started my daughter on solids, I guess her little tummy had to adjust and she vomitted a lot. I felt so bad because it took so long to feed her and then it would all come out again, and I was hoping she wouldn't be hungry.
Congrats on the new home!!! We moved when my daughter was 13 months, and there was a whole lot of confusion at the banks, but here we are and she loves her room.
Oh, and yes, everyone becomes Uncle or Auntie something....it's confusing sometimes because we have a friend who is older than us, but want our daughter to refer to him as "big brother" rather than Uncle, but another friend who is entering college wants her to call him Uncle. haha
Get well soon Baby Platypus!
Aww I hope she feels better soon. My baby girl has the same kind of cough today, and has vomited also from it a couple times. It breaks my heart! I hope it goes away soon.
