Pulling Up, Crawling, and Holding His Own Bottle!
by Mama LionOMG so ever since Baby Lion pulled himself up to standing position while using the couch, he's been going nuts trying to pull himself up on EVERYTHING! He's been pulling himself up to the coffee table, the bath tub, his car, his toys, his CRIB!!!!!!!!!!!! And when there's something that's not within his reach, he'll start climbing other things nearby (stuffed animals, pillows, the vertical wall of that object he's climbing) to get that thing that he wants. Ever since Wednesday he's been acting like SUPER baby on speed. I mean he's always been VERY energetic, but now he's overflowing with energy.
He also surprised me by drinking 10 oz of formula all at once. I gave him 8 oz initially (I just increased it to 7 oz's and just decided to see if he would drink the 8 oz) and he drank it all so I set the empty bottle aside right next to him. Well he rolls over onto his tummy, grabs the bottle, rolls back onto his back, puts the nipple in his mouth and is holding the bottle all by himself while sucking!!! Woah, I was totally shocked! So I immediately got him another 2 oz and he fed himself. So tonight for his last feeding I gave him 8 oz and he fed himself the whole bottle!!! I was so proud and so ECSTATIC. Hopefully this continues because then I'll get my hands back to MYSELF!!!

Hubby was also able to change Baby Lion's diaper while he was holding his own bottle. It seems like he drinks it better too when he holds it himself because usually I have to keep him occupied with something so that he'll stay on his back to drink it and he won't drink it all in one sitting and I have to attempt to feed him 2-3 times within an hour.
Last night he also started crawling normally, completely off the floor and on all fours! He only did it for a little bit, but he's NEVER done this!!!
I've overwhelmed with all these exciting new milestones. I wonder why he's doing all these things all at once all of a sudden. Weird...

Just wait until he firgures out he can use the furniture to help him walk. He'll never want to sit down.
John started crawling when he was about 5 months. He rarely crawls on all fours unless he sees something he needs to get ASAP. He has been able to hold a bottle since forever. I think he was 3 or 4 months. Baby Lion is a cutie.
Oh I missed those baby days. My daughter is now 2 and she's running all over the place.
how adorable! my daughter loves water bottles. if we're in the car, that's what calms her down if she's fussy....just holding the water bottle. anyhow, you should expect fast changes. from crawling to standing to walking, it happened so fast for my little one. i could hardly keep track in my journal. what you should expect, however, is that sometimes they go back to the basics or stop doing something that he was doing for days. like at one point my daughter was babbling nonstop, and then she stopped for a period of time. around that age (your son is 9/10 months?) my daughter started to climb the stairs, with help of course. sitting by herself? i can't remember...it does happen so fast and all at once. she is 16 months now. a few months ago she was walking one day, trying to run the next, and now she can even walk backwards. that's definitely something to look forward to. she never really liked holding the bottle (only got 1 a day from dad since i mainly nursed her), so it did take her awhile to hold a sippy cup. hooray to baby lion for pulling up, crawling, and holding his own bottle!!! lots more fun to come!

My son was some kind of special case, I wish he would have been normal! He started pulling up and crawling at 4 months, and walking at 6. It is insane!!!!
oh wow! what a cute little boy! ELijah hasn't crawled yet...he is five months 1 week old. He has rolled over once but I haven't gotten him to do it again. =( He hates spending time on his tummy. But he is grabbing for his bottle now. He can't hold it up but he certainly does try! holy old is baby lion??

Awww those are cute pictures!! My fatgirl tries to pull herself on everything too!! She endures some falls, but still tries. She tried the wipes holder the other day, it slipped & she bonked her head on the ground, looked at me & tried again. I had to take it away of course.
