Exciting New Milestones
by Mama LionSo Baby Lion's been working on lifting himself up by using the support of things... mainly ME and his little toy wall that I got him a month ago. He was still pretty wobbly, but recently after daddy came home he saw that my laptop was near the couch and crawled RIGHT on over really fast and lifted himself up and was standing while holding onto the couch!!! OMG... I couldn't have been more proud
. Hubby happened to be outside but when he walked in I made him do it again and he did! YAY!!! Now I'm worried about what else he's going to get his hands into, which means....more baby proofing. AHHHHHH!!!!!!!
Here's a pic of one part of our house that we baby proofed, I also did some rearranging. Our sectional is now separated... it was just taking up waaay too much room.
Our living room, which is where we spend the whole day in (click on picture to read what each item is for):
See my laptop on the left hand side... that's what he was trying to get to. He's so fascinated by it and when I let him touch it all he does is pound on the keys very happily.
OOHHH and also a few days ago when daddy came home he immediately lifted his arms up towards him for daddy to lift him up and he said "appa, appa" (dad in Korean). Daddy couldn't have been happier
. He's been saying umma, mama, ma for quite some time now, but only recently has he been saying appa. It's the cutest thing. So I think his first word is DAD, which was what I was hoping. Now daddy has no choice but to watch the little booger because all Baby Lion says is appa, appa, appa and now THIS mom can go rest
. kekeke. Hubby couldn't have been more thrilled because all night hubby just kept saying to Baby Lion "appa" and then Baby Lion would reply back with "appa, appa, appa." It was very cute and very exciting hearing him repeat those words back
.What was your baby's first word?

That's so sweet! Hopefully my daughter's first word will be daddy as well, because it would mean ten times more to him than it would to me if she caled me mommy first, besides, after she starts saying mommy, it'll be her favorite word until she's what? 14? hahaha. As for the proofing, I'm seven months, and I've already proofed everything "just to be safe", driving everyone I live with insane. ha. not so much yet for her crawling around or anything, but the cabinets and plugs deal should be used to by the time she reaches the stage.
My baby said "Baby" and then a few days later "Daddy" although she had been saying "Mama" when she's crying and "Dada" when she's happy for several weeks before that.
