Meet Mama Hippo!

Hello, Momaroo. I'm a 27-year-old new mom to a gorgeous 4 month old boy. The hubby and I have been married for 4.5 years now, and dating for over 10 (we were high school sweethearts... I know, gag, but I love that we've known each other for so long). The hubby and I have been living in Switzerland as ex-pats for a little over a year. It's been a great experience, and definitely interesting to go through pregnancy and childbirth in a foreign country, so far from home. There have been plenty of ups and downs along the way, but I do love having "Switzerland" listed as his country of birth on his passport 
. Before moving I worked in a Montessori pre-school, a career I look forward to going back to one day. But for now, I'm enjoying being a stay-at-home mom. It's definitely the hardest job I have ever worked, but I think also has the best rewards and "perks."

hi! my baby girl is 4.5 months today and we're living away from our families too (not abroad though... they're in CA and we're in NYC)... look forward to reading your posts!
@penguintattwo@xanga - Hubby and I had talked for a while about wanting to go abroad at some point, so when his company bought a tiny company in Switzerland and his boss asked him about coming here for a year or 2, we kinda jumped at the chance.
