Turtle1 Is 9!
by Mama Turtle...and Mommy busted out the scanner and got crazy!

A rare pregnancy pic, 7 months along with Turtle1 at my baby shower.
Nursing for the first time! He did wonderfully.
Finally it's going home day! 3 weeks old. We still have that little piggy

4 1/2 months
Yep, it's a first birthday messy cake picture!
The day we found out we were going to have Turtle2. Turtle1 was only 14 months and I was in shock - he was still my little baby to me.
You can tell this came out of daddy's wallet. He's about 2 1/2 here, and I recall this was mere moments after a full blown meltdown, and one of two decent pictures we got out of the session.
This was an example of a very long "I am smiling!" phase, lol
Turtle1's sixth (?) birthday (I'm bad with dating pictures)
Christmas 2007, 8 1/2 years old
Turtle1, May 2008Don't you enjoy looking through old pictures of your kids? They grow up so fast!

more n more handsome, how about matching him with my girl hahahaha
It's interesting to see how much kids change throughout the years
Yes looking through pics can be fun. Nice way to celebrate Father's Day! Read through your last several posts. Good writing. Mothering is a mixed bag of joys and sorrows.
Hope your potty training goes well. I'm coaching my daughters through as they train my grandkids at this point. I remember the oddest comment I heard from an older woman when I was struggling to potty train one of mine was,"Don't worry she won't do that when she's 25." It made me laugh later often when I remembered that comment. It is so easy to get discouraged when we are caught up in the here and now of parenting.
aw i love the "out of daddy's wallet" picture! i don't like putting nice photos into my wallet because i know they'll get messed up, but it's actually kind of sweet. maybe next time when someone asks to see a picture, i'll have a good one to show them
I do this at every birthday and Christmas Holiday :)
I like to take out the pics and compare them. My boys all look different now, but you compare pics of them all at, say, 6 months old and it is hard to tell them apart. But it really is also fun to watch them change and grow through the years.
I do pretty good at dating pics (but then go through phases where I kinda forget to do it). What I want to know is where moms get the time to scrapbook! I wish!
aww i love going down memory lane!
