Announcement: Moving to Momaroo
by Momaroo Team

Ever wanted to move your Xanga site to Momaroo? Thanks to Janet and Chris now you can!
For a limited time you can move your Xanga account over to Momaroo for free.
http://edit.xanga.com/editusername.aspx
Don't worry- when you move your site over all your posts, subs, blogrings, messages and everything else will be transferred over as well. Also, for all the Xanga users out there things will still work the same - you can still comment and subscribe to Momaroo accounts.
There are two things to keep in mind:- Your Xanga account is not going to exist after you make the switch to Momaroo. There is going to be only one account.
- While switching from Xanga to Momaroo is free, switching from Momaroo to Xanga costs 10,000 credits so please be sure that you want to do this!
We hope you find this useful and let us know what you think or if you have any questions!

Do you have to change your username to do it? All I'm getting is the change username screen.
@Fuego_de_Noche@xanga - you can put in the same username you have on Xanga, you don't have to pick a new one.
I'd love to switch but I am having the same problem as when I tried to sign up for a NEW Momaroo site. Every time I try to do anything with themes, I just get the spinning wheel and "Processing" for an eternity until it finally gives up. Since I do not have a theme on my Xanga and since I can't ADD a theme to my Xanga, how then do I switch to Momaroo? Any way around this?
@shaunaRae@xanga - Hey, if you are trying to save your theme using IE, can you try doing it with Firefox and let me know if it works by sending me a private message?
That's a very nice feature for all those mothers that want to move and also for any one else that wants to move to a different partner website. Isn't the Xanga Team wonderful and so caring?
For now I'm gonna stick with Xanga though as I don't really fit into any of the other partner websites.
Hmmm... if I move and change my mind, can I move back?
hmm im confused so will it still be 2 sites.....or then you will only have Mommaroo?
My issue is I dunno if I can keep up with 2 sites tho i like the idea of one just being all about my baby but then that defeats the purpose of having my Xanga cause really my son will be my LIFE when he comes...so I really only need one I guess...and if I move to Mommaroo...what about all my non-mom friends?
Im easily confused lol so I dunno what to do...lol
@ayca@xanga - Unfortunately I have tried Safari & Firefox on a Mac AND IE on Windows and it doesn't work on any of them... :(
@mightymarce@xanga - There are two things you need to keep in mind. 1. After you move your site to momaroo, someone else could sign up for username 'mightymarce' on Xanga. 2. Moving your site back to Xanga requires 10,000 credits.
@LamourDeNoemi@xanga - If you move your site using change username, there is going to be only one account in the end. The friends on your account would not be affected. You would still be able to get updates from them, etc. Everything would be preserved, except your site would now be on momaroo. If you think moving your site to momaroo will be better in terms of writing more and interacting with other moms, then do it. If you are not sure, watch the site with your Xanga account a little bit more and decide later.
@MiniMama - Looks like your Xanga account is still there. Creating a new account on momaroo with the same name should not affect your Xanga site. Let me know if you cannot access your Xanga account or if there are other problems.
If I switch over, am I still a lifetime person? I paid for that, so I don't want to lose it.
What about the user name as stated in the comment above me, I want to keep my user name.
So if people are subbed to my xanga, will they still be subbed to this one? I know you said my subs will stay the same, but what about people who are subbed to me?
When I have tried to go premium for Momaroo, it goes to xanga premium, which I already have. Help!!!!!
Also, what about my true badge : (
I like that!
I'm curious... might there be one day be the ability to simply toggle between our Momaroo and Xanga accounts without having to sign in and out and out and in? LOL. Just a thought.
@momofjenmatt - As we said before, everything is transferred over including your lifetime membership, your badges, subscriptions and subscribers. Think of it as your site becoming a momaroo site, instead of a Xanga site.
@Zvanoizu - Thanks for the feedback. Xanga and momaroo work very similarly but they are still separate sites. So, you still need to sign out and sign in. Sorry! :)
@admin@xanga - Thanks, sorry but I was confused. I'm a little slow that way.
