Happy 2 Months! You're Getting Immunizations!
"Daddy, I'm ok. Shots Schmots! Mommy worries too much."

I swear her head is like the shape of a bell. Yesterday, Baby Platypus turned 2 months. She's gotten so big since we first brought her home. She looks so different to me now. Her face has filled out and so has her thighs. I remember the first week we brought her home and we were just waiting for her umbillical chord to fall off. It fell off like 9 days later and I remember thinking "Omigod she's growing up too fast!" Hahaha... Now she's starting to smile, at me! I'll hear her cooing in the morning so I'll wake up to get her for her first feeding and as soon as we make eye contact she smiles at me and it's like the greatest feeling in the world. It's not like a mommyiloveyou smile it's more like a guesswhosgonnacleanmygiganticpoopydiapertodaymuhahaha smile. That's ok. I'll gladly take that job as long as she keeps smiling. She also now responds to movement so if you dangle something in her face and move it around she'll try to follow it by turning her head. My how she's grown.
She got her immunizations yesterday. The first month she only got the Hepatitis B shot. Today she got Dtap, Hib, and Prevnar. I was told to bring the infant Tylenol with me to the appt. That way we give it to her right before she gets her shots so she has some time for the medicine to kick in if she does end up getting a fever. I was all worried about her getting her shots and when she did I started laughing. I was laughing at how mad she got. Haha... I'm a jerk. She was all smiles and cooing at me right before it happened. I said "You're so cute, you're gonna hate mommy in about a few seconds." I think she cried for about a minute and then she was over it and she was all smiles again. Dude she's a really good baby. Yeah she has about one bad night once a week but overall that's like nothing. I told the dr how she's been sleeping all night and he was surprised and asked me since when. I said 3 weeks ago. He says it's rare at her age to be sleeping all night but it does happen and that we should feel lucky. Trust me I do.
She also sounds really congested. Like mucusy in the back of her throat and makes this loud wheezing noise when she breathes sometimes. The dr thinks it might be Laryngomalacia. It's nothing serious but we definitely want to get it checked out by an ENT doctor just to be on the safe side. Happy 2 months sweetie. I love you fatso.

What a beauty!
aww, she is absolutely adorable. Those cheeks are WOW. lol
She sounds like one heck of a cool baby. Give her a two-month birthday kiss from me.
I love your blog by the way. I have only read a few posts and I can safely say I am hooked and look forward to your updates quite eagerly!
Hope you have a good day.
Wow, she is a DOLL! Btw - did you know you can space those shots out so she doesn't get a bunch all in one day? Also, you can put them off if you like until you feel her system is a bit tougher. Don't be pressured by the doctor and the schedule. Love your posts, btw.
Oh what adorable chubby cheeks!
Both my boys started sleeping all night at 2 weeks, it was a blessing! Once they started teething they stopped for a short time so enjoy while it lasts...there's nothing like sleeping all night! ;)
That was a cute entry. I probably would have pouted or cried when she got her shots. I'm a big baby. I can only imagine how dramatic its going to be when we have kids and we send them to school for the first time
