Baby Food Processor
This is going to be my next big purchase for Baby Platypus. I found this in the Williams Sonoma catalog so I went to their site and they even posted a demo. I think I'm definitely going to puree her food when she's ready to eat solids.

The French baby-food maker that has won praise throughout Europe is finally available to American families. This compact countertop appliance multitasks as a steamer, blender, warmer and defroster to prepare fresh, healthy meals for baby. It starts by steam cooking vegetables, fruits, meat and fish in less than 15 minutes, preserving their vitamins and flavors, then purees or blends them to the desired consistency. You can also use it to quickly reheat or defrost precooked foods. With it comes a 2 1/2-cup polycarbonate bowl, cooking basket, spatula and recipe booklet. The bowl and basket are dishwasher safe.
Anyone else pureeing their own baby food or planning on it?

That thing looks cool! How much does it run? I guess I could go see for myself. I kind of wished I had given James a more healthy start when he started on solid foods. Maybe for #2, whenever that will be.
I did! I got a hand-held "food mill". It worked great and was very inexpensive!
If I could do it over, I'd do my own baby food... Next one, maybe ?!

yes, i have been wanting this cute little gadget!! BUT i'm having serious second thoughts now because of the polycarbonate bowl and since it's used for steaming... i'm concerned about BPA getting in the food. i googled and read that WS and the manufacturer of this have admitted there is BPA in the bowl, but I don't know how true that is. I'm thinking of calling myself or buying something else.
i use cuisnart food processor for everything!! i even blend veggies with cheerios so mags has some whole grain cereal w veggies.
i usually cook my meals and then take aside what mags would eat then season my stuff. with mags' plain stuff, i just puree em up and chop some for mags to learn how to pick her food up n feel n play w some. (shes 9 months old)

I pureed and made my own solids for the twins. I just felt better about giving them fresh foods. It was really simple. I steamed and used a regular mini cuisinart. Then I parceled into ice cube tray to freeze and save for whenever I needed them It was so easy.
That machine is soo popular in Korea...it's been available here for some time~ But i didn't realize it had BPA in the bowl...hmm...something to think about !
i saw that at williams-sonoma but had already gotten the kidco food mill. i really wanted it since it was so cute, but i couldn't justify buying it since i already got a steamer and food mill. maybe if it was cheaper than yah. i was pureeing our baby's food in the beginning, but he was such a picky eater that it all the food i tried making went to waste so i found it just easier to buy the pre-made food. i'm gonna try and figure out what he likes first and start making it again then.
